Manifest Destiny

Go West, young man,

go West and grow up with the country.

I knew having to move would be hard. Uprooting myself from everything I’ve known for the past 24 years. Sure, I went to college, spent time traveling, living and learning away from what I’ve called home. But nothing compares to knowing that I’m leaving a safe haven for the total unknown. The promise of a new beginning is tempting, the idea of it was alluring. I wanted a fresh start, it was something I talked about daily. I’m glad I did it, you could say the call of the West Coast lured me in with a promise…you could say, that this is a modern day manifest destiny.
